I had a failed 10 year old implant removed by Dr. Lyman. I had little to no pain and was able to just use Advil for any discomfort. I have healed well.

We had a very frustrating experience. My daughter had an appointment that was made a month in advance for surgery to remove two molars. Two weeks closer to the appointment, they canceled and need to reschedule because the doctor "could not get out of" a meeting. We understood and agreed to reschedule the surgery. On the rescheduled surgery day, they told us to arrive at 9:30 am for a 10:00 am procedure, but we waited for 1.5 hours with no updates or apology for the delay. We just went with it and did not question. Then we had a post-op appointment made the day of the surgery to come back in three weeks, again due to the doctor's schedule, they called to cancel the day of. My daughter was in excruciating pain for three weeks, eager to meet the post-op appointment. And, they had to cancel without any care. So, I called the office, and I got to speak to a rude, unprofessional older woman, Erica. I expressed my frustration and questioned why the office failed to call us the day before the appointment to confirm. It is very frustrating that the office waited until the day of the appointment to cancel, despite my daughter being in pain and having waited for this necessary follow-up. She said she did call but did not leave a message. I said, "Do you have proof/records of the call?" Because if I had missed a call, my phone would show a record, and it does not have a record of any incoming calls from your office! I told her I read the bad reviews and intent to do the same. She apparently did not like that. She said, "It's a FREE COUNTRY," followed by "I am a Veteran." I was flabbergasted! I told her, "This is irrelevant." She no longer wanted to talk to me and abruptly put me on hold. Elizabeth got on the phone, we had a brief conversation, she said OKAY come in today for the post-op appointment. Erica should not be working at the front desk. She has no communication skills to resolve issues; she is not a good fit for patients to feel comfortable in a business environment like a surgery office. Patients are in pain and need answers, —this level of care is inexcusable for an oral and maxillofacial environment. The only staff member who demonstrated reasonableness was Elizabeth. She was professional and clearly knowledgeable about the proper operation of the office. In terms of the doctor's services, I have seen better treatment elsewhere. Reviews exist for a reason, and this experience speaks for itself.
